Your Market
We have a wonderful market that is open on May 16, 2024.
Where is the Market?
The Market is held at the Community Pavilion at 139 S. Main Street. This is directly across the street from the Observer-Reporter’s offices, immediately in front of the Ivy Green floral shop, and directly under our huge pepper mural (see the logo at the top of the page). The City has kindly agreed not to enforce its meters during the Market’s hours in all metered municipal lots and on all downtown streets.
What is sold?
The Market offers the finest and freshest locally grown produce (both organic and local farm-grown); choice meats, eggs, and dairy products; and excellent prepared foods – fresh-baked bread, pastas, salsas, and more.
Who are the vendors?
Our vendors are a wonderful group of hard-working, local farmers, cooks, and small business persons. You can chat with the people who have grown or made what you buy. We also encourage you to contact our vendors directly, especially if you would like to arrange a special order or purchase in quantity. The link below will take you to our vendors page. Our Vendors.
Who is performing?
Our Market offers entertainment as well as food. We have live musicians nearly every week. And they are very, very good. Meet them.
When is the Market?
The Market is held every Thursday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, from mid-May to the end of October. And we are open rain or shine. You’d be surprised at how much business we do on rainy days!
Receive a lovely reminder by email, once a week, during the market season.
What is the Community Table?
The Main Street Farmers Market offers Washington area nonprofit organizations the opportunity to promote themselves and their activities at the Market.
How can I help?
The market is run by a plucky band of volunteers. And we’d be delighted if you could join us. If you think you could help, follow the Contact Us link or come to the Market and speak to one of us there. We appreciate any help you can give!
